How Culinara Nigeria researches recipes, identifies adaptations and labels recipe testing and illustrations.

AI editorial review: 2026-10-22

From sources to one coherent method

We compare relevant culinary sources, choose a consistent ingredient set and method, and write an independent explanation. Source links appear on each article. US product forms, measurements, equipment and substitutions receive particular attention. Where sources describe different methods, we choose and explain a version rather than blending incompatible instructions.

Review and testing are different

An AI editor checks source support, quantities, sequence, ingredient identity, regional context and food handling. This is editorial acceptance, not human review or a cooking trial. Each recipe currently states: Researched recipe; not cooked or tested by Culinara. Timing and serving guidance are planning estimates, not measurements from a test kitchen.

Illustrations, not cooking evidence

Food artwork is generated from original factual text briefs, without supplying a publisher’s photograph. Captions and image details identify AI illustrations and their serving variations. They are not photographs of a tested batch. We retain generation prompts, provider terms and local asset records. Illustrative variations are excluded from Recipe image markup; no ratings or nutrition are invented.

Scope and corrections

This is a growing introductory collection, not a comprehensive record of Nigerian food. Ingredient labels and local food-safety advice take priority over a general substitution. We currently have no monitored public inbox or correction form; the contact page states that limitation.
